Back in mid-November, Gina told me that she was selected to be part of something called the Global Leadership Challenge (GLC) 2023. At the time, I had no idea of how prestigious and important this yearly meeting is, a collaboration between the University of Oxford Character Project and the St Gallen Symposium from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Gina joined 99 other participants for a week-long professional development experience that included talks and workshops by Alphabet Inc.'s Chairman John L. Hennessy, Microsoft Germany's CEO Marianne Janik, former McKinsey Global Managing Partner Dominic Barton (now Chair of Rio Tinto), and 17 other senior advisors. To put the learnings into practice, the participant were put into small groups to develop and pitch a project that address at least one of the three UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were the main topic of this years GLC.

Gina's team, WeARE Training, put forward an innovative proposal to improve healthcare equity in Honduras using virtual reality applications. Their ingenuity impressed the judges, making them the GLC 2023 champions. As the winner, her team will receive full funding to attend the prestigious 53rd St. Gallen Symposium in 2024.

Congratulations Gina!
